At IRT, care is our passion, not simply a service we provide.
Your independence and personal choices are as important to us as they are to you and your loved ones. We tailor services to promote your ongoing wellbeing.
Our Care Centres offer a range of care solutions to suit individual needs and provide 24-hour professional nursing and personal care support.
Each Community has been individually designed taking in the surrounding environment and to offer a range of accommodation, from individual to shared suites, which vary depending on location.
Common dining, lounge and outdoor areas are featured in all of our Care Centres.
Benefits of IRT Care Centres
For over 40 years, we have been at the leading edge in the provision of care solutions for seniors.
It’s the little things that matter. We make it our priority to know what matters to you.
Our Care Centres are designed to bring services to you. Many offer additional onsite services which may include internet rooms, café services, hairdressers, beauticians and general stores.
We also encourage you to maintain access to local services and activities which can include scheduled bus trips to local shopping centres and other sightseeing attractions.
Our home-style meals are prepared by IRT Catering, our accredited in-house catering division, who can tailor them according to specific dietary requirements including diabetic, celiac and gluten intolerant. Our seasonal menus undergo an analysis by IRT’s dietician to ensure they are nutritionally sound and balanced.
Our care extends to creating tranquil outdoor and garden areas that are landscaped and maintained by our professional staff.
In addition to the ongoing support of care staff, Care Centres also allow you to live in a community of your own peers. This opens up the opportunity to experience new connections and enjoy the social activities if you choose.
Living with Dementia
We understand the special needs of seniors living with dementia and the family and friends involved. To cater for this, many IRT Care Centres provide safety and comfort through the provision of specially designed care, diversional activities, suites and outdoor areas.
Premium Services
Premium Services, often referred to as Extra Services, offer a premium standard of accommodation, catering and other lifestyle services above the already high standard of living at IRT. These services expand your range of choices and are tailored for you.
Premium Services can include:
- Superior level of furnishings and decor
- Quality dining room placements
- Private dining room
- Daily newspapers and weekly magazines
- Daily take away coffee services
- Plus a host of other services

Locating your Care Centre
With over 15 Care Centres throughout NSW and ACT, IRT Care Centres offer unique settings from coastal and inner city to rural and bushland. Many of our Care Centres are connected to our Lifestyle Communities, offering seniors a home for life.
In choosing unique settings for our Care Centres, we ensure that you or those you care about can stay connected with the surrounding communities and services where possible. Access to medical services, public transport, local shops and services have all been taken into consideration with the location of our Care Centres.
Income and Asset Assessments
Income and asset assessments are undertaken by either Centrelink or the Department of Veterans’ Affairs on behalf of the Department of Health & Ageing.
IRT encourages you to seek financial advice prior to making a decision to move into a Care Centre.
