IRT Group wins ITAC Award second year running
IRT Group has won a national ITAC (Information Technology in Aged Care) Award for the second year running, in recognition of its excellent use of information and communication technologies to
improve the lives of older people.
The winners were announced at the ITAC Awards Gala Dinner in Adelaide last night.
John Vohradsky, IRT Group Executive General Manager – Information Technology said it was a great honour to accept an award on behalf of IRT for the second year in a row.
“The award is recognition of our work developing cutting edge technology to enhance the daily lives of IRT residents and customers,” Mr Vohradsky said.
IRT won the award for its Business Intelligence, Data and Automation (BIDA) platform in the ‘best application of business intelligence to leverage value from big data’ category.
Developed largely in
house, with support from Novigi technology experts, BIDA was purpose-built with the needs of the IRT Group business and its customers in mind.
Mr Vohradsky explained that BIDA will reduce the administrative burden on our staff so that they can focus on what they do best, caring for our residents and customers.
“The platform will also streamline and automate IRT’s manual processes, and provide data analytics that measure the outcomes of IRT’s care delivery, to optimise the quality of life of our residents and customers,” he said.
”We’re already using it in our Retirement Villages, Aged Care Centres and Home Care businesses, as well as in various departments including payroll, procurement, learning and development, sales
and finance.”
“Some of the immediate benefits of the platform include; improved customer insights, automated reporting, more personalised care outcomes, operational efficiencies and cost savings.”
With the award-winning BIDA platform, IRT continues to be at the forefront of developing assistive technology to support service quality and independence for aged care residents and customers to
optimise their quality of life.
IRT’s award last year was for its ‘Care Companion’ platform in ‘the best solution that provides ongoing consumer independence’ category. The platform integrates a range of online tools into one
customer-facing application, accessed using a tablet or other Wi-Fi enabled device.
