Find out moreAt IRT we understand that it’s difficult to know where to start, when trying to understand your home care options.
To assist with your home care journey, we’ve answered some of your most commonly asked questions.
Home care is a support service for seniors who need assistance with daily care and living in their own homes.
Whether it’s help with domestic duties such as cooking and cleaning or simply warm companionship, home care offers personal, physical or emotional support that empowers you to keep living independently at home.
The instinct for many is to remain at home for as long as possible and seek assistance from family. With time, however, it can become increasingly difficult to manage daily living and relying heavily on family for help can become taxing for everyone. If you or your loved one is struggling to perform daily activities or is suffering from isolation, it might be time to consider home care.
Home care is a highly beneficial service that can empower you or your loved one to keep living independently at home and enjoying a higher quality of life. It offers the support you need with daily activities such as cooking or cleaning without relying on family for assistance.
Home care can also help you maintain hobbies and interests that have become more difficult, and can even help alleviate feelings of isolation through warm companionship and connection.
Benefits of home care include:
You have choice and control over the care you would like to receive
You or your loved one will receive personalised care tailored to your needs
Home care helps you keep your independence and allows you to keep doing the things you love
Whether you need a little bit of assistance, or a lot, you can trust our experienced home care staff to understand you and meet your needs.
The cost of your home care services are dependent on the level of care you need, the types of services you are after and if you are eligible for government support. Whether you are receiving government support or wish to pay for your services privately we have put together an easy to use guide to help choose the right option that best suits you.
